Questions?
We have answers!
- Is
this the kind of massage that includes a body shampoo and shower? ABSOLUTELY NOT. To put it in
plain language, no sexual services whatsoever. Those services
are often advertised as "relaxation", "release",
and sometimes even "accupressure" therapy. We offer legitimate
and legal massage and bodywork services, many of which specifically
address physical ailments, medical conditions, and rehabilitative/post-surgical
recovery. Massage in NJ is regulated by the NJ Board of Nursing,
and all our therapists are licensed with both the state of New Jersey,
and Winslow Township.
- What
type of services do you offer? Check
out our menu
of services; we're sure you'll find something you like.
- What
does massage do? Massage
has been medically proven to: reduce pain, lower blood pressure,
improve circulation, increase joint mobility, improves immune functions,
facilitates weight gain in preterm infants, reduces the symptoms
of MS and fibromyalgia, counter the effects of depression and foster
a feeling of well being. And these are just a few of the
benefits. The list is quite long!
- Is
there anyone who shouldn't get a massage? If you have phlebitis, thrombosis, fractures,
hemophilia or similar bleeding/bruising disorders, or fever, massage
is not for you. Varicose veins are avoided during massage.
- Do
you offer gift certificates? We sure do! You can get them instantly online here, or stop
in in person. If you're ordering online, don't forget to add 7%
NJ sales tax to the total of your gift certificate if it's going
to be used for a massage service. Massage is currently subject to
sales tax.
- I've
never had any kind of bodywork or massage before - what can I expect? You'll be greeted by your therapist and asked
to fill out a client form (the client form gives you a chance to
detail where your aches and pains are and allows your therapist
to customize your bodywork experience). Your therapist will leave
the room so you can disrobe and get on the massage table. Your therapist
will then enter the room to begin your bodywork service.
- Do
I have to be totally nude for my massage? No - your therapist will let you know that
you can keep your underwear on if you wish, and you'll be under
a sheet and a blanket as well. By NJ law, all massage must be performed
with the client draped (covered) so that "no gluteal cleavage"
is showing. And certain services, like reflexology, focus on the
hands and feet - so you can keep your clothes on!
- What
will I feel like after my massage? Because massage releases endorphins, you'll
probably feel very relaxed and mellow. However, massage also helps
to clean out debris and toxins in your cells, so it's important
that you drink a good amount of water to help flush your system.
- What
products do you use? We use nothing but all natural, hypo-allergenic,
non-comedogenic (won't block your pores) products. All our aromatherapy
oils are 100% essential oils, not fragrance oils, and we
use organic essential oils whenever possible.
- What's
so bad about fragrance oils? Fragrance oils are largely synthetic and artificial,
and can cause allergic reactions, headaches, and other reactions
in the body.
- What
kind of training do your therapists have? All our therapists received training at some
of the best massage schools in the country, including, Lady
of Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies, a massage school
whose curriculum focuses heavily on the physiological aspects of
massage.
